I'm rooting for them on a pretty flimsy basis, actually. I have to admit I don't get the finer points of baseball, but my wife and I spent a few days in San Francisco last year, and we fell in love with the place. So that's good enough for me.

OMG that was ancient history ... over half a century ago ... something tells me it just isn't the same team from back then. New York just couldn't keep a baseball team there. They lost the Dogers too a year later. Seems that baseball teams were in a hurry to leave back then.

It's always nice to see a Californian team coming out on top ... even if it isn't LA

The classic rock band I play with has started playing "Don't Stop Believing". It goes down really well in the bars we play. And we lead into it with "Jane" by Jefferson Starship. It runs nicely into it without a break in between.

San Franciscan's will never stop believing in our winning Giants . . . It's paid off as we're now the 2010 NBL Champions and jubilantly off to the 'World Series'

Ok Donny . . . this time around. I'm sorry to say but my sympathy to you for not only your Philly loss in tonight's final playoff, but also the loss of your beloved NY Yankees team (to the Texas Rangers)as well. I had hoped the World Series would have been between the 'SF Giants' vs 'NY Yankees' as we did far back in 1962, giving us a chance to re- match up again and give the Giants a chance to beat you finally in a World Series.
